NekoZen releases synthetic pheromones into the air. Cats pick them up with senses humans do not have. The idea is to help your cat or cats feel calmer at home-less of the scratching, spraying, hiding, and fighting that often come from stress.
The refill uses two types of synthetic pheromone: one aimed at a stressed cat on its own, one aimed at tension between cats. That is why we use a blend instead of a single-ingredient refill.
This is not a drug. It does not replace the vet if something is medically wrong. It will not fix every fight if the cause is something in the home you still need to change (food, territory, outdoor cats at the window). It is for ongoing stress-type behavior, not a one-off thunderstorm.
